Thompson Falls - July 2009

We are in Montana right now attending a Class Reunion. This is just outside of town of Thompson Falls where Leonard grew up. This has to be one of the most beautiful part of the country if you don't have to work. The only real industry around is logging and in the woods. If we ever decide to settle down again this is the kind of country that we will be looking for just a little south so that we can try and avoid snow. The area's nick name is the "Banana Belt" of Montana due to its mild winter and comfortable summers. The biggest worry around here during the summers is Forrest Fires due to there is only one road in and one road out of the area. If you ever want to see Mountains without the pollution then this is the area. It is about 100 Miles North West of Missoula on Hwy 200.
